
Jeannie Sung Vallee (M.Ed., she/her) is a Calgary-based educator currently serving as the Resource and Student Services Learning Leader at Balmoral School in a junior high setting. She has extensive experience teaching various grades from K-9, including Fine Arts (Music), Literacy Support, and EAL. As part of the planning committee of the Local 38 AntiRacist Teachers Network (ATN), Jeannie is dedicated to fostering inclusive educational environments. With 18 years of teaching experience, she has observed significant advancements in inclusive education and emphasizes the critical importance of diversity, equity, and human rights in shaping school communities. Jeannie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto (St. George) and a Master of Education from the University of Alberta, where her research focused on empowering diversity and cultivating inclusive learning environments. She believes that educators have a profound responsibility to advocate for ethical and inclusive practices both within schools and in the broader community.
