Students cannot learn unless they feel safe at school. With diverse and adverse childhood experiences increasing, it a key part of an educator's job to create classroom spaces that allows for every student to feel safe and welcome at school, regardless of their journey before they enter the classroom space. Brain bins are easy to create tools that support students' self-regulation development through play. Backed by neuroscience research, brain bins support students in becoming regulated and ready to learn in an inclusive classroom environment. Brain Bins are easy to create and implement and make a world of difference in supporting all learners throughout the school day. Throughout the session, teachers will use Brain Bins themselves and learn not only how to create them within their own space but understand the science behind their effectiveness.
