This workshop extends the content from the Kindergarten session, Shake Shuffle and Roll. Come prepared to play and learn strategies for the following concepts: addition strategies including make 10, make 20, doubles/doubles+1, -1, commutative and associative properties, mental math, subtraction strategies including part/part whole, count back , using number lines, multi - digit operations. All games can be used whole class, small group or in differentiated learning centers. Games incorporate the use of cards, dice and math shakes (so be ready to dance!) Handout will contain gameboards, concept skill checklists, journal ideas. COME PREPARED TO PLAY in this fast paced workshop.
