This session provides a comprehensive introduction to the sport of wrestling, designed for teachers and participants involved in their school athletic programs. It covers key elements such as warm-up routines, foundational skills, wrestling-related games, and effective coaching techniques. The goal is to equip teachers with the knowledge and tools to confidently teach or coach wrestling within their school athletic programs, while also emphasizing the safety of athletes. Leading the session are two highly accomplished wrestling coaches: Christine, a former Olympian and six-time world champion, and Steven, a former university wrestler whose doctoral studies focus on wrestling and disability.
