
Tara Vahab is an artist, therapeutic arts practitioner, art educator and a personal trainer.Tara has been practicing art in various forms since childhood, and received her first artistic award at age nine. Since age 12, Tara has been helping and connecting classmates who were struggling in their life to creative practices. In 2015, she graduated from the University of Calgary and immediately afterwards, founded LOUD Art Society, a non-profit organization to support mental health enhancement and wellbeing through art and creative practices. With a focus on at-risk youth and vulnerable families, LAS has delivered artistic workshops and projects, art-therapy, and mindfulness programs to over 1700 Calgarians through in-person programs and to thousands of individuals through our online projects. In addition to leading LAS, Tara creates and exhibits her interdisciplinary art projects and teaches multiple courses at University of Calgary Continuing Education.
