Literacy learning forms the focus of Larysa’s professional practice. Her first teaching experience in Calgary was in a unique setting providing tier 3 literacy intervention. Currently, as an assistant principal and resource teacher, she provides side-by-side support for students and instructional coaching with colleagues. Throughout her career Larysa has become increasingly aware of the significance of teaching and learning that emphasizes explicit literacy instruction.
