Allison graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology. She has spent a lot of time working and exploring in the forests of New Brunswick, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta documenting plant communities and searching for interesting species. Allison spends many spring, summer and fall evenings leading people on plant walks throughout Calgary, helping to spread her love of all things botany related. When not at the Zoo, Allison spends time hiking and discovering various ecosystems in Alberta with her hounds, Duke & Saffie, stooping over various plants trying to identify them, gardening in her backyard and cooking with the fruits of her labour!
