Best known as a star on CBC’s hit television series Kim’s Convenience, Andrew Phung’s infectious and relatable personality has made him one of Canada's top comedic performers. He is an award-winning actor, improv comedian, and writer, as well as a sought-after emcee, having hosted events for The City of Calgary, Telus Spark, ATB Financial, and numerous non-profits. Phung brings his off-the-cuff comedic charm and boundless enthusiasm to every engagement.

Phung starred in Kim’s Convenience for its full five-season run, earning four Canadian Screen Awards for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He is currently the co-creator, executive producer, and star of CBC’s Run the Burbs. Phung’s other recent television and film credits include LOL: Last One Laughing Canada, The Beaverton, Events Transpiring, Wynonna Earp, and The Canadian Improv Games with Andrew Phung. He can also be heard on CBC Radio as a regular contributor to Now or Never, The Debaters, and Because News.

Phung started his path as a performer at the Loose Moose Theatre Company in Calgary, where he developed a love for the stage. Over a decade later, he continues to work with them as a senior ensemble performer and instructor. Phung regularly presents to student groups on the subjects of improvisation, volunteering, and community involvement. He has also presented a TEDx Talk titled “The Obvious Secret to Engage Youth.” In addition, Phung is the director of special projects at the non-profit Youth Central.
