"Gerald Auger An entrepreneur, graduate of Business Administration specializing in Marketing Management, recipient as a National Native Role Model from the Governor General of Canada, a recipient of the Rotary International Integrity Award, Motivational Speaker, an award winning Director and Actor. Gerald has spent over 20 years working with Hollywood. Some of his most notable television & screen roles have been Pawnee Killer, Hell On Wheels (AMC), Soaring Eagle, Into The
West, (Dreamworks) Crow Chief, Dreamkeeper (Hallmark Entertainment) Timothy Whiteknife, Tin Star (HBO), Chief Wandering Spirit, Bones of Crows (CBC), Makamuk, Lost Face (Soma Films) that was on the Top 10 of the Oscar's Short Films in 2019. Gerald continues to be involved in film, television and documentaries, aiming to advance the status and expose and debunk the stereotyping of his people. Gerald's latest film is Warrior Women, a Stardale Women's Group documentary-drama.
Focusing on the young lives of Indigenous women who were abused and traumatized, that found the power of healing through language and culture. Gerald walked away from mainstream society & Hollywood in 2009 to heal from childhood trauma due to residential schools and colonization. The 6 year sabbatical, in the wilderness, ended in 2015. Gerald spent his time in the wilderness reconnecting to his culture, spiritual values and beliefs through ceremonies out on the land with traditional knowledge keepers, healers and ceremonial elders. Gerald’s focus has been bridging the gap between Indigenous communities and the western world. Promoting mutual understanding and respect, through the spirit of truth and reconciliation, and sharing the 4 Directional Way of Knowing of his ancestors and people."
