Stephanie Aleksiuk is the founder of Thimbleberry Learning, an environmental education provider and consultancy in Calgary. She holds an MA in Environmental Education and Communication from Royal Roads University, where her research involved finding ways to support local teachers to take students out into the schoolyard for learning. Stephanie is also a Certified Mindfulness Instructor. She is interested in the intersection of nature connection and well-being. Her vision is to expand the scope of environmental education to include avenues for cross-curricular learning, student motivation, creativity, and resilience. She is wild about urban biodiversity and is grateful to live in Treaty 7 territory.
