In this pandemic and post-pandemic, digital technologies are becoming a part of K-12 classrooms as students shift between in-person, remote learning and hybrid learning environments. Although digital technologies have become a part of the social fabric of many of our classrooms, questions with regards to how to intentionally and effectively use these digital technologies to support our English Language Learners (ELLs) are still prevalent (Wong, 2019, 2020 and in press). The following session will share recent research and how this research can be taken up in the classroom to support K-12 ELL students. Practical teaching tips will be shared.
