The global COVID19 pandemic meant that 2020/21 school year was like none other for students, teachers, and school leaders in Alberta. This session explores the lived experiences of women in the teaching profession during this exceptional year with careful attention paid to the increased caregiving responsiblities many women faced during the school year. It also highlights how the layering of career and caregiving responsibilities impacted women educators’ professional development and wellbeing.
