Anxiety is at epidemic levels among students. Because anxiety impairs learning, it is critical for educators to understand what is going on for students in today’s world and how to help them successfully navigate the stressors and worries they face.

There are essential considerations for effective interventions for anxiety that are not commonly known nor practiced. However, they are easy to learn. This workshop is therefore vital for anyone working with anxious students. Participants will learn how anxiety affects learning and how traditional ways of offering help may unwittingly worsen worries.

The majority of the session, however, focuses on practical, evidence-based strategies embedded within the Anxiety Compass; an eight-step process to teach students how to manage anxiety while promoting their overall confidence and resilience.
