The Witness Blanket is a large-scale work of art created by master carver Carey Newman. It contains hundreds of items reclaimed from residential schools, churches, government buildings and traditional and cultural structures from across Canada. Witnessblanket.ca invites visitors to explore objects from the blanket and hear directly from survivors about their experience. This session will introduce participants to the witnessblanket.ca and discuss how to use the resource in the classroom using a trauma informed approach. www.witnessblanket.ca
