This is a very hands on session where you will be planning, building and painting their very own Native American Flute. They are very easy to play and sound absolutely beautiful! First you will complete a planning sheet, answering the question 'What connects me to the land?', and represent your answer through colour, symbols and other design elements. Then you will drill five holes for pentatonic tonality (suggested) or six for all the notes, glue the roost, add the bird and mouthpiece, paint base colours and add details with paint pens. You will have the option to hand sew and decorate a bag for your flute while paint layers are drying. Finally we will play beautiful music and you may even decide to try the project with your students. My Grade 5's loved it!
