Come and learn how to structure your literacy block with a focus on phonemic awareness, phonics, and fluency. Join three current Dr. Oakley teachers in an engaging session highlighting the interconnected skills necessary for proficient reading and writing within a literacy block. Attendees will leave with activities to implement tomorrow, and a stronger understanding of the basics of the Science of Reading. For more in-depth instruction and further teaching strategies, please see our second session under the same title. Dr. Oakley is a specialized setting within the CBE focused on supporting students from grades 3-9 with significant literacy learning disabilities.
