Come prepared to play my favorite games and learn strategies that focus on the following concepts: counting to 5, 10, 20, counting forward and back from a given number, using number lines to count with patters, comparing numbers and quantity, make 5, make 10 and doubles. This very basic workshop will help you build K concepts that lay the foundation for grade 1/2 operational fluency and place value. If your grade 1 - 2 students have learning gaps, or are a new ELL student, this workshop will provide you with engaging game activities to rebuild the loss and rebuild the foundations necessary for success in Primary. All games can be used whole class or small grou and are perfect for differentiated centers. Games will integrate the use of cards, dice, and number lines.
