Number lines are great for teaching many place value concepts Come prepared to play games and learn strategies for teaching the following concepts: naming, ordering, comparing large numbers, decimals, rounding and expanding numbers, identifying place value, fractions and more. Games will incorporate easily found number lines, cards, place value dice. Gameboards, student samples, journal writing extensions will be provided throughout the workshop many practical strategies will be shared for this important part of the math curriculum. Great for regular, special ed programs and junior high students who still struggle with basic place value.
