All Hands on Deck - we never play with a full deck and you don't need to either! Cards are one of the easiest to use and easiest to differentiate math manipulatives, a student favorites and are easy to find and use in our math program. Come prepared to play our favorite cards games that help teach the following math concepts: review of basic facts, mixed operations, multi-digit operations and place value including decimals. The games can be used in work stations, whole class and they can also be sent home for practice. If you are still teaching virtually the ideas are easy to segway into your lessons. Gameboards, student samples, journal writing extensions will be shared throughout. Ideas for differentiating the activities will be shown. IF THIS SESSION GOES VIRTUAL ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO HAVE A DECK OF CARDS, A PAIR OF REGULAR DICE AND A COPY OF THE PDF HANDOUT.
