Brian Keating has been exploring wild areas since he was a little boy.

In 1986, he had a pivotal life moment.

Invited by Dr. Jane Goodall, Brian and Dee traversed Tanzania to spend a week in Gombe National park with Jane, following wild chimpanzees. Jane, Brian and Dee have been friends ever since.

This presentation will celebrate his first encounter with chimpanzees and the remarkable woman who has been studying them. Brian has since been on a journey of exploration to observe other great apes: the wild orangutans in Borneo, and mountain gorillas in Rwanda and the Congo.

Brian will also take you back on a recent expedition to Gombe, where he encountered some of the chimps he met so long ago, as well as into southern Tanzania, at another Jane Goodall invitation.
