Hi! I’m Paola, a research associate with the Alberta Children’s Epilepsy Program and a lead for the Knowledge2Empower initiative. I’m passionate about making epilepsy education engaging, accessible, and fun for students, teachers, and families. Our program brings interactive learning sessions to schools, helping educators and students better understand epilepsy, seizures, and how to provide support.

With a background in neuroscience and a love for teaching, I work closely with our team to create resources that empower schools with knowledge about epilepsy and brain health. Outside of research and education, I’m also a licensed Zumba instructor, bringing energy and movement into wellness initiatives in the community.
