Hi, my name is Peggy, and I was born & raised in Taiwan.  At age 12 and with no English skills, my family immigrated to Vancouver.  As a former EAL student, I experienced first hand the challenges that EAL learners face on a daily basis. Because of my own journey, I felt a strong inner drive to support students who are navigating similar paths to mine.  I am very blessed to be the EAL LL at Colonel Irvine School. This is my 10th year working with the CBE, and I have a total of 24 years teaching experience, including teaching in Taiwan and with the VSB.  I am fluent in 3 languages, and I have bachelor degrees in Music & Education, as well as a MA degree.
