Knits (or stretchy fabrics) are everywhere! In our modern lives, we wear far more garments made of knit fabrics than wovens, their non-stretchy counterparts. During this jam-packed day of learning for Fashion teachers, you will be led through making your own t-shirt. We will make the tees on the sewing machine AND the serger, which will be deeply satisfying when you demystify it and see what it can do for you. Catherine will lead you through key skills like: Selecting the right stitch for the right fabric Following a commercial pattern for knits Working with knit fabrics Neckbands & Knit hems

***Previous Sewing Experience - Participants enrolling in this class should be at an intermediate-ish level with basic skills and some sewing experience under their belts. SERGER - If you have access to one, bring it! We will be sharing and exploring all models brought to class. The more, the better.
