Soil camp project is a cross-sectoral and transdisciplinary partnership with teachers, teacher candidates, community partners, and universities, aiming to work with youth, children and families who are impacted by forced displacement and systems of oppression. Through Soil Camp, we are continuously learning with the land, the soil, various species (more-than-humans), and with each other, toward earth-centered healing. Through this session you will be introduced to land-based pedagogical activities enacted during the Soil Camp, and snapshot of educational research being done through transdisciplinary perspectives (perspectives that challenge disciplinary silos among sciences, mathematics, arts, Indigenous ways of knowing). At the end of our presentation, you will receive resources of Transdisciplinary Experiences you can use in and outside of your classroom.
