Anthony Sherwood is an award-winning actor, director, filmmaker, novelist and social activist whose career spans over forty years in television, film and stage. He is the recipient of the Martin Luther King Achievement Award, the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal, the Planet Africa Award and the African-Canadian Achievement Award. Mr. Sherwood has been a guest speaker at numerous events across North America and abroad speaking on a variety of issues. As a filmmaker, he has travelled around the world producing films on major global issues dealing with human rights and social justice. Mr. Sherwood has also produced documentary films dealing with African-Canadian history and many of his films have been presented in schools and universities across North America where he has also been invited as a guest speaker.
