Amy Irving was born and raised in Calgary. She obtained her Education degree from the University of Alberta in 2013. After graduation, she moved back to Calgary and started working for the Calgary Board of Education; she has taught math, science, leadership and foods. She currently teaches Foods 5-9 at Peter Lougheed School. She loves to bake and cook, and she enjoys sharing her passion for food with her students and staff members. When she’s not in the kitchen, she enjoys running (she ran her first half marathon in 2024), traveling (19 countries visited and counting), and sewing.
