Janakee Randhawa (she/her) is a Calgary-based educator who has leapt into a variety of different teaching roles, covering elementary, junior high and high school classrooms. Currently, in her eighth year of teaching, she has found that AntiRacism and Fine Arts Education naturally intersect in all subject areas and brings these lenses to every exploration she presents to her students and colleagues across divisions. Janakee is one of the proud founders of the AntiRacist Teachers Network and is thankful for the ongoing dedication of her fellow educators in their commitment to this learning through Local 38. When outside of the classroom, she is an engaged community member bringing her social activism lens to non-profit organizations and continues to be a practicing artist.
