February 13: 8:30am to 4:30pm and February 14: 9:00am – 5:00pm
The Custom Wilderness Advanced First Aid for Educators is offered over two in person sessions supplemented
with online learning.
- Day 1 is a classroom session and Day 2 is a field session.
- The program is appropriate for those who take on a leadership role in the outdoors.
- Focus is on the long-term implications for initial care, stabilization and evacuation of patients in remote wilderness locations.
- Due to changes implemented by Alberta OHS, this course no longer includes an Intermediate (Standard) First Aid certification recognized by OHS.
- This is the course required by CBE for all staff who take students into an outdoor environment.
Certification is valid for 3 years.
We’re looking forward to having you join us for the upcoming course. This is a 2-day program consisting of one
classroom session and one field day.
Important Course Information:
- Please register for the program using the registration information and link below.
- Training on February 13 – location to be determined.
- The field day on February 14 will take place at Bragg Creek Provincial Park, unless your instructor determines it is preferable to stay in town due to forecast weather conditions / temperatures.
- Session times are February 13: 8:30 to 4:30 and February 14: 9:00 – 5:00pm.
- The course is being offered at a special CCTCA rate of $260 + GST = $273.00
- THERE IS NO PRE-REQUISITE FOR THIS COURSE
