This full day hands-on workshop will introduce participants to a modern quilting technique called foundation paper piecing. Great for using up small scraps of fabric, this method of piecing can be used with both junior and senior high Fashion Studies students. Done by sewing fabric to a printed paper foundation, this method inspires unique and varied designs. Participants will have a chance to make their own pieced quilt-scape and will have an opportunity to learn about how to take this technique and apply to a variety of different projects. Participants need to bring Scrap Fabric – cotton preferably, but not limited to, and thread.
