Worship Brother Rev. John E. McKnight, Jr, is a retired United Methodist Pastor in the Dakotas Annual conference of the United Methodist Church. WB McKnight, was initiated, passed and raise in Temple Lodge #237 in McCune KS while serving as a student intern pastor at the McCune and West Mineral United Methodist Churches. WB McKnight  has been a member of Mt. Rushmore Lodge #220 in Rapid City for 25 years serving as Master in 2011-2012. He is currently serving as Senior Deacon of his lodge. WB McKnight is a member of the York Rite Bodies of the Black Hill, the Scottish Rite the Valley of Deadwood, Naja Shrine, and Golden Link Chapter #14 O.E.S. and Martha Chapter #22 O.E.S. where he is a past patron. It is family tradition to be active in various branches of the Masonic Family. 

WB McKnight grew up on the family ranch in the here southern Black Hills. One of six children in his family who all were active in school, church and 4-H. Following graduation from the Edgemont High School, he attended Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell SD earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He then attended The Iliff School of Theology in Denver, CO in 1984. He has served churches in North and South Dakota since graduating from seminary. Retiring in June of 2017 to assist in caring for his father prior to his death later that year. Since retiring WB McKnight has served several parishes as an interim pastor in region.
