Jeffrey L. Bryden, CFA, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager with RMB Capital Managementgraduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors of Science Degree from Ball State University in 1978 with dual degrees in Finance and Economics.
Upon graduation he accepted a position with M&I Investment Management Corp. as their first Portfolio Manager dedicated to managing fixed income portfolios. In 1983, he accepted a position with National Investment Services Of America, Inc. (NISA) and led the fixed income portfolio management efforts of the firm’s national introduction of dedicated and immunized fixed income strategies. In total, Mr. Bryden was responsible for managing over $6.2 billion in fixed income assets including a single $3.4 billion portfolio.
In 1991, Mr. Bryden initiated the formation of a new quantitatively-based fixed income product and strategy within Fiduciary Management of Milwaukee. In 1995, the fixed income business was purchased by Mr. Bryden and merged into Reinhart, Mahoney & Bryden Capital Management where bond assets grew to over $650 million. In 2001 Mr. Bryden expanded his business under Campbell Newman Asset Management, Inc. where he grew the fixed income assets under management to exceed 60% of the firm’s total assets.
In 2008, Mr. Bryden founded JB Investment Management LLC in order to establish and develop a team of experienced investment professionals dedicated to providing unique expertise and customized investment-grade fixed income strategies.
On October 2, 2018, RMB Capital announced a combination with JB Investment Management LLC, a fixed income-focused asset management firm with more than $550 million in assets under management where Mr. Bryden wasPresident and Chief Investment Officer.
His charitable activities include serving on the Board of Governors, Trustee, Director and past Chairman Investment Committee of the Western Golf Association/Evan’s Scholars Foundation, Active Member Scottish Rite NMJ, past Chairman of the Board of the Wisconsin Masonic Home, Grand Treasurer of the Grand Lodge of Wisconsin, and past Board Member and President of Blue Mound Golf and Country Club.
