Alex Straatmann is a member of Rob Morris Lodge #46 A.F. & A.M. in Kearney, Nebraska.

Alex is married to Dr. Kimberly Andresen. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the Texas Tech School of Law. He currently works for the federal government and also serves in the U.S. Army Reserve. He currently serves on the Kearney Public Schools Board of Education and has twice served as the board president. 

Alex served as the Master of Rob Morris Lodge #46 in 2012. As a Grand Lodge of Nebraska officer, he has served as the Personal Representative of the Grand Master (2015/2016), Grand Junior Deacon (2017), Grand Senior Deacon (2018), Grand Junior Warden (2019) and was elected Grand Senior Warden at the Annual Communication in February 2020.  Other Masonic memberships include Tehama Shrine, Hastings Valley Scottish Rite, Fort Kearney Shrine Club and National Sojourners Omaha Chapter #19.
