
Most Worshipful Brother DaNiel received the three degrees of Masonry from Unity Lodge #130, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2013-2014 and as member of both the Board of Directors and Board of Trustees for 2014-2017, and holds a plural membership with Incense Lodge #2 in Vermillion, SD. He has served the Grand Lodge as the District 3 and 4 Masonic Education Officer, as Grand Marshal for two terms from 2012-2014, Grand Pursuivant for 2014-2015, Junior Grand Warden for 2015-2016, Senior Grand Warden for 2016-2017, Deputy Grand Master for 2017-2018, and Grand Master for the 2018-2019 Masonic year. He had the great privilege to be the host Grand Master for the 2019 Conference of Grand Masters of North America.
Most Worshipful Brother DaNiel is a member of #91 Gavelers High Twelve International, a Noble of El Riad Shrine Temple and member of the Provost, Legion of Honor and Ritualistic Units. He is a Past High Priest of Sioux Falls Chapter #2 Royal Arch Masons, Past Illustrious Master of Alpha Council #1 Cryptic Masons, and Past Eminent Commander of Cyrene Commandery #2 Knights Templar. He has served the Grand York Rite as a Representative for Royal Arch Research Assistance, Grand Representative for Cryptic Masons Medical Research Foundation and Jurisprudence Committee member for the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons. Most Worshipful Brother DaNiel is an active 32⁰ KCCH Scottish Rite Mason, member of the Sioux Falls Valley Executive Council, served on the Sioux Falls Valley Finance Committee, and served as Venerable Master in 2016. Additionally, he is a life member of the South Dakota Lodge of Masonic Research where he served as Secretary from 2013-2016.
Most Worshipful Brother DaNiel is a Sioux Empire United Way Heart Club Member 2004-current, has led numerous bicycling fundraiser rides for the South Dakota Lung Association, and represented the United States on a cycling team competing in Europe. He is an avid runner participating in races and local charity events. He is a founding member of South Dakota Search & Rescue (SoDakSAR), a member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and is an active member of Mt. Zion Synagogue in Sioux Falls where he is the immediate Past President of the Temple Board.
