Megan E. Collins, MD, MPH, Allen and Claire Jensen Professor of Ophthalmology, is an Associate Professor of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Collins completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency training at University of Chicago and her fellowship training at University of Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. She received her MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Her research interests include vision screening, pediatric eye care disparities, health equity, and school-based vision programs.  Dr. Collins has published extensively in this these areas and holds leadership positions on committees within the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus, and Prevent Blindness' National Center for Children's Vision and Eye Health. She also leads Vision for Baltimore, a district-wide school-based vision program in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
