
Dr. Johanna Choremis, MD, FRCSC, DABO
Dr. Johanna Choremis is an ophthalmologist with fellowship training in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery. After medical school at McGill University on a Hugh Brock entrance scholarship, she pursued residency training at the same institution. Fellowship training was completed at Tufts University with an E. A. Baker scholarship. Upon her return to Montreal, she has worked at both McGill University’s Jewish General Hospital as an assistant professor, as well as University of Montreal’s “Centre Universitaire d’Ophtalmologie,” at Maisonneuve Rosemont Hospital. She has trained many residents over the years as well as numerous fellows in corneal transplantation. She has many peer-reviewed publications and has presented at national and international conferences. Her main area of interest is corneal transplantation and dry eye disease. She is currently section chief of the Cornea division at University of Montreal.
