LEARNING OBJECTIVES

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Describe difficult and unusual diagnoses in clinical Oculoplastics, Ocular Oncology and Ophthalmic Pathology.
  • Highlight the important collaboration between clinical Ophthalmologists and Pathologists to achieve optimum patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate through case examples the techniques (immunohistochemistry and cytogenetics) used by Pathologists to arrive at the diagnosis and their limitations.
