Dr. Podbielski completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Toronto where he was the recipient of numerous awards including the American Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Resident Scholarship, the Kensington Eye Institute’s best surgical resident award and Mount Sinai Hospital Dr. Sigmund Vaile Award. After residency, Dr. Podbielski completed a Master’s of Science degree in Health Technology Assessment at McMaster University and subsequent clinical fellowship in Glaucoma and Advanced Anterior Segment Surgery under the supervision of Dr Ike Ahmed. He is still continuing his studies at the Rotman School of Management (UofT) through the Emerging Leaders Program. His current clinical and research interests include quality of life instruments and health economics.  Dr. Podbielski is a staff ophthalmologist on CNIB’s Eye Van, TLC, Prism Eye Institute and North Toronto Eye Care.
