Don O Kikkawa is Distinguished Professor and The Trude Kahn Hollander Endowed Chair in Ophthalmology at UC San Diego in La Jolla, California. He is also Division Chief of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Distinguished Professor of Plastic Surgery at UC San Diego.    

Dr. Kikkawa is a Fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, and is a Life Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.  Dr. Kikkawa is currently the Program Director of the UC San Diego ASOPRS Oculofacial Plastic Surgery Fellowship.  He is a frequent lecturer nationally and internationally and has received numerous teaching and achievement awards.  He has served as President of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, as a Director for the American Board of Ophthalmology and as a Trustee of the ASOPRS Foundation.  He has authored or co-authored over 200 publications, 50 book chapters, and five books.  He currently serves on the Editorial Boards of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
