Dr. Dominique Bourret-Massicotte MD, FRCSC

Dr. Dominique B. Massicotte MD FRCSC is a comprehensive ophthalmologist in charge of the ophthalmology department at the CIUSSS Capitale-Nationale. Following medical school at Laval University, she completed her ophthalmology residency at the Centre Universitaire d’Ophtalmologie in Quebec City in 2017. During her surgical training, she was particularly noted for her surgical skills, her compassionate approach to vulnerable patients, and her strong commitment to teaching. More recently, she was recruited to review the provincial eye trauma management guidelines and she was on the planning committee of the 2018 Canadian Ophthalmology Society's Co-developed Symposium Meeting on improving refractive outcomes with cataract surgery. She is also actively engaged in her community, working with optometrists to optimize patient care. As a founding member and ongoing faculty member of the annual "All About IOLs" symposium, Dr. Massicotte helps senior Canadian ophthalmology residents improve their knowledge regarding intraocular lenses, preoperative biometry, and cataract surgery.
