At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Integrate evidence-based treatment strategies into the clinical management of age-related macular degeneration
- Apply best-practice guidelines in the management of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy
- Describe the role of VEGF and other mediators in the pathophysiology of different retinal diseases
- Assess the possible local and systemic effects of current available therapies
