Marie Alexander, GISP, boasts a long career marked by a focus on innovation and technology.  Her journey began as an intern, working her way up to the position of Director of Acorn Information Solutions.  Managing a team of 30 IT and GIS professionals, Marie is responsible for overseeing the development of Software Solutions, Licenced Products and GIS and Data Insight Solutions for Acorn.  Over her 24-year tenure, Marie’s dedication, and commitment to the work she does in our community is truly commendable. Her proficiency in GIS and software development has established her as a trailblazer and influencer in the industry. In addition to her professional achievements, Marie has devoted time to shaping the next generation of computer programmers at Sault College. While not only mentoring aspiring IT professionals, Marie has also championed opportunities for women in technology.
