Peter Rabley, CEO of the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), is shaping the future of the global geospatial industry. With a career spanning property rights, geospatial technology, digital infrastructure, and strategic investments, he has been a key player in advancing how geospatial data is used and shared worldwide.

His experience includes leading investment initiatives at Omidyar Network to support geospatial solutions that empower communities, founding International Land Systems to modernize digital land administration, and holding executive roles at Thomson Reuters and Manatron, where he drove global geospatial and land management strategies. Now, as the head of OGC, Peter is focused on advancing open geospatial standards, interoperability, and governance at a time when geospatial data is becoming more critical than ever.

For Canadian organizations, governments, and businesses, Peter’s insights are especially relevant. Canada’s leadership in geospatial technology depends on strong data governance, interoperability, and collaboration across borders. As AI, cloud computing, and data sovereignty concerns reshape how geospatial information is managed, Peter will provide a global perspective on how Canada can position itself for the future.

This keynote is essential for anyone working in geospatial data, technology, and policy. Peter’s deep knowledge and international experience will offer valuable guidance on how Canada can strengthen its role in the global geospatial ecosystem while ensuring its data remains accessible, secure, and impactful.
