Alexander Verbeek is an independent advisor on global issues related to climate, security, water, food, energy and resources. As a former diplomat with the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he collaborates with governments, businesses, think tanks and civil society agencies to create solutions for the environmental, security, resource and demographic challenges of the 21st century. Alexander brings unique insights into how spatial data and geographic intelligence are revolutionizing our approach to the world's most pressing environmental challenges.
As an international public speaker with an online following of close to half a million, and as Policy Director of the Environment and Resource Development Centre in Brussels, he bridges the gap between environmental science, policy implementation, and technological innovation.
