In a world of constant change and uncertainty, how can we make informed decisions in real-time, grounded in the realities of ambiguity? This presentation tackles these fundamental questions by exploring the evolution of how we understand and interpret our world—from childhood curiosity to professional expertise—and how these insights shape decision-making in complex environments.

Using case studies in GEOINT adoption inside and outside traditional national security communities, I will delve into strategies to address the challenges of ambiguity and complexity, focusing on enabling action rather than succumbing to analysis paralysis. By emphasizing the connections between what we know and what we observe, I will also showcase how collaborative visual tools can drive clarity and effective decision-making.

The discussion will culminate with an exploration of why the future of GEOINT—beyond the advancements of AI—lies in the power of graph databases.
