This open forum invites all attendees to engage in discussions on Canada’s path toward greater self-reliance in the geospatial sector, particularly in light of emerging trade conflicts, including the recent U.S. tariffs, and evolving global geopolitical shifts. The forum will explore strategies to strengthen Canada’s technological capabilities and reduce reliance on external sources, with a focus on fostering innovation, security, and growth. 

Key topics for discussion: 

Domestic innovation and the role of Canadian expertise in shaping the future. 

Data security and the development of sovereign data infrastructure. 

Public-private partnerships to bolster technological advancements. 

Leveraging geospatial solutions to enhance national security, infrastructure, and economic growth.

GoGeomatics Survey  

GoGeomatics has launched a survey to collect feedback on how Canadian geospatial ecosystem should respond to the trade conflicts and changing geopolitical landscape.  

The results of this survey will be presented at the discussion forum, offering insights into how Canada’s geospatial ecosystem can adapt to global shifts.

Participation Format 
This forum will be organized in a roundtable-style format, with no traditional stage or set panels. Instead, we will create a collaborative, open-dialogue setting where all attendees are encouraged to participate and contribute ideas. This format is designed to foster dynamic discussions and innovative solutions from a diverse range of voices.
