Sergey Samsonov is a Senior Research Scientist with Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) where he leads research in the use of earth observation technologies for studying natural and anthropogenic hazards. Prior to his current position with NRCAN Sergey held similar positions in New Zealand and Luxembourg. Sergey earned his PhD from Western University (2007, Geophysics and Environmental Science) and his MBA from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa (2018, focus in Finance). Sergey is a member of the RE-subgroup executive committee of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada and NRCAN institutional representative to the Western North America InSAR Consortium.
