Tanya Tejassvi

Tanya is a Geospatial Professional with combined 10 years of experience in Research, Private and Non-Profit Sectors. She is an ITC, University of Twente alumni with a Master of Science in Geoinformatics. She has worked with various industries including catastrophe modeling, disaster management, and utilizing GIS for user-friendly mobile applications. In her current role as a Manager of Accessibility Initiatives with a non-profit. She contributes towards informed decision-making by performing data analysis and designing geo-visualizations outlining the absence, or concerns with accessible amenities in contrast to the spatial distribution of the demographic that needs them. This information is critical to decision-makers in local governments, accessibility committees, and other stakeholders. Tanya is also working on mapping accessible parking and accessible outdoor spaces, by partnering with people with lived experiences. She has also been volunteering with GoGeomatics as one of the Online community managers, and for Women+ in Geospatial
