Association of Ontario Land Surveyors

The Association of Ontario Land Surveyors (AOLS) is a self-governing association, responsible for the licensing and governance of professional land surveyors. The role and powers of the AOLS are set out in the province’s Surveyors Act. Since 1892, we have protected the public by: ensuring our members meet high standards of competency and conduct; helping surveyors meet the needs of an evolving profession; investigating complaints; and acting when problems are identified. We also play an important role in developing policy for land surveying and offering our input into legislation.
