Dr. Chang Liao

Dr. Chang Liao is an Earth scientist at PNNL. He received his BS/MS from the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering at Wuhan University and his PhD from the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University. His main research interests are hydrologic and land surface modeling across scales, focusing on high-resolution modeling using hydrological-refinement meshes. He is the author of the HexWatershed model, a mesh-independent hydrologic flow direction model.
