Mark began his career in the Federal Public Service with National Defence in 1999 following 9 years of service with the Royal Canadian Navy as a Maritime Surface Officer specializing in passive sonar detection. In 2011 Mark was appointed Superintendent of the National Defence Hydrographic Services Office with the responsibility to provide navigation products and services to the Royal Canadian Navy and other Federal Government vessels. Mark joined the Canadian Hydrographic Service in 2016 as Division Manager, Navigation Products and Services at the CHS Sidney Office, and was appointed Director Pacific Region this past March.
